1980s-90s reminisce discs, video games and great food

My son and I were discussing stewards in F1 and I remembered in the 80s and 90s restaurants like Princess called the host/ supervisor a steward. They remembered names, favourate foods, special instructions (no coriander in anything you gave my father). And one of them had a happy story. Went from steward to small restaurant owner to part owner of Tycoons later! Loved all the food there. favs were butter chicken and tandoori roti, the chicken sizzler. Before it closed down : order, beg dad for some change and run down to the basement to play games, those cabinet cars, with steering wheels, pedals for accelerator and break! Ultimate for a 8-10 year old. Later in 1st PU bunking class on Wednesdays to go dancing Knock out. Nights were difficult for the women but afternoons was game. Coming out at 5pm from the dark, and realizing oh its still day and being accosted by kids who were happy to be given bananas if you did not want to give them money. Then TnA in 5th avenue and going to Fanoos for their legendary rolls (they were so afforable we used to joke that it has dog meat, but did not).
