Recipe for Methi Roti
Glossary:
Methi - fenugreek
dhania - coriander
podina - mint
kotimir - fresh green coriander leaves
jeera - cumin
besan - chickpea flour
atta - whole wheat flour ( you got to learn how to cook rotis first - see here - rotis )
Ingredients Required :
1. 2 onions
2. 2 Bunches of Methi
3. 2 Inch Ginger
4. 1/4 tsp. Ajwaan
5. 1/4 tsp. white jeera
6. 2-4 Big green chilies
7. 1.5 tsp. dhaniya powder
8. Salt as much required
9. Red chili powder
10. 1/2 cup of milk
11. 2 cups of atta (flour)
12. 2 tsp. oil
13. 1 bunch of pudina leaves
14. Kotamari leaves
Method :
Cut onions, methi, pudina leaves into fine pieces, Mix atta with oil,milk and add water as needed
Add all the cut pieces and all the above ingredients into the atta and leave it for 10 minutes.
Different Taste :
Add 1/2 cup basin atta.

Just read your mom's recipe and thought I would send the English names of the ingredients to the Methi Roti.
Methi = Fenugreek
Jeera = Cumin
Dhaniya = Corriander
Atta = whole-wheat flour
Pudina = Mint
Kotamari = Corriander leaves
Besan = Gram flour
There are no equivalents to ajwaan the closest in taste to it is probably caraway seeds although not quite.

Bone setters: puttur Doctors
Hi ,
All over India, can find ortho-doctors who did not get their knowledge from a recognized medical school; but who never the less help the rich and the poor. They are from Puttur a small village in Andra Pradesh.
In 2000 I had knee problem. The orthopedics told me I will have to have surgery, stay in the hospital for 5 days and cough up around Rs. 7,000/- . Surgery can be good or bad
I went instead to the Puttur guy off commercial street { go to Abrham Street, take the first left (its a one way so only one direction) go down, after one cross ~ 400m will find them on the Right "Raju Puttur Bone setters"} (Bangalore)
In 2003 they helped my dad who twisted his ankle while walking.
Walking is very important for him as he had a massive heart attack in 1999. He needs to stay healthy.
They take Rs.50/- to Rs.100/- for consultation, up to Rs.100/- for medicines a day. Also I had to buy Rs.300/- oils that you needed to buy and apply at home. A big thank-you Puttur Surgeon - Docs.

fuuny accident
when I was 7 or 8 was being chased down my road by some 10 kids

funny thing is I flew over the cart (some 2.5 feet) brought down a few tomatoes, onions, okras ...
the folks chasing me did not give up
I was pelted with the fruit .... got away with a few bruises
this and my maid dropping me when I was baby probably left me ahem , different
